The family farmers in Greece who supply us with grapefruits specialise in three varieties: Star Ruby, Rosa Marsh and Yellow Marsh. Star Ruby and Rosa Marsh have pink flesh, while the Yellow Marsh variety is light yellow on the inside. Each delivery contains all three varieties. The weather conditions during the season determine how many fruits of each variety are included in your delivery.

Use & preparation
- Add the fillets to a salad
- Preserve as a Grapefruit Jam or use in place of the oranges in this Ginger and Citrus Shots recipe.
- Use it to make your own cleaner: All-Purpose Citrus Cleaner.
Storage & shelf life
After delivery, check your grapefruit for bruises and blemishes. Consume these fruits first. If you discover mould, remove the affected fruit to prevent the mould from spreading. The grapefruit can be kept for around 4 weeks in the fridge or in a cool cellar.

With organic farming, I see all my hard work turn into something good!
"Every day, I try to decipher the signals my plants are sending me. I want to understand what influences them," says Takis Konstantopoulou. Grapefruit, oranges, olives and lemons grow in his fields. "I live on the farm with my mother, wife and two children. Naturally, we eat what we produce. I eat fresh grapefruit every day, which helps with my diabetes. Now that I'm getting older, my son takes care of the fields with the help of seasonal workers."
