What makes gebana stand out?
gebana is a pioneer of fair trade in Switzerland. What began with the banana women and fair bananas (=gebana) in the 1970s is now a company with sustainable supply chains in Burkina Faso, Togo, Brazil and Greece. gebana buys directly from more than 10,000 family farmers in these countries and employs around 800 people worldwide. 96% of them work in countries of the global South. Our vision is a fairer and more sustainable world trade.
- We share – Sharing is our tool to make global trade fairer.
- Bulk packages – A large proportion of our products are already packaged in bulk in the country of origin, so that 72% of all products reach you in their original packaging without repackaging.
- Seasonal shopping – We ship our fruit to you immediately after harvesting, without any detours. Taste is the only thing that counts. That's why we don't have everything at all times, but everything at the right time.
- We are gebana – gebana ist aus einer aktivistischen Bewegung entstanden und lebt noch immer vom Aktivismus und den Überzeugungen aller Beteiligten. Mitarbeitende, Kund:innen und unsere Wiederverkäufer teilen die Vision eines gerechteren Welthandels.
As a reseller, we grant you a 25%discount on the majority of our range. Whether you sell or process the products in the original packaging or open is your decision. The prices you see in our shop as a logged-in reseller already include the aforementioned discount.
